Physician - Cardiology - Interventional
Hospital is building a Cardiology group to service three hospitals (Lake City, Starke and Live Oak).
Ideally would like to build a 5 member hospital employed group with 2 interventionalists and 1 invasive Cardiologist being based in Lake City and primarily working at (or through) the hospital.
Additionally, two non-invasive Cardiologists are being recruited to primarily be based out of Live Oak and Starke respectively.
Reason for Search:
There is not sufficient Cardiology coverage to meet the hospital's / community's needs for 2015.
The goal would be to work toward obtaining enough cases to qualify for an interventional program.
Cardiology presence in community (service area):
1 UF physician from Jacksonville and 1 large group that travels from Gainsville.
Call Coverage:
Will establish a Market Cardiology group with Live Oak and Starke to provide coverage.
1 weekend of call for the practice every three weeks.
1 in 3 days call coverage for the Market Practice.
Office Space:
Existing office space in medical office building located on the hospital campus.
Equipment:
base office equipment and EKG machine.
One Cardiac Catheterization (currently diagnostic only).
Only one Cardiologist in area performs caths so scheduling is not an issue.
Competitive financial package to include salary (based on MGMA guidelines), incentive (based on WRVUs), comprehensive benefits package (vacation, CME, 401k, malpractice insurance, relocation) and option for commencement bonus, medical education debt assistance and fellowship stipend.
Lake City is centrally located in north Florida, an hour from Jacksonville, and 45 minutes north of Gainesville.
A charming small town with a family centered atmosphere.
