Social Worker (Primary Care)

The Social Worker will serve as an interdisciplinary team member for primary care, specialty care and the emergency room.
The Social Worker will perform many duties to include:
o Uses a high level of skill in assessing and treating complex psychosocial needs of Veterans and their family members/caregivers often during times when the Veteran/family members/caregivers are experiencing crisis.
o Exercises mature professional judgment and use a wide range of clinical skills in independently providing clinical psychosocial and case management services to Veterans and their families.
o Incumbent requires knowledge of a broad range of psychosocial, medical, and mental health issues.
o Provides group and individual counseling appropriate to level of licensure.
o Coordinates care, develops and uses VA and community resources to facilitate referrals, develops and implements treatment plans and to provide accurate information to patients, family, staff, and other internal and external customers.
o Complies with all policies/regulations of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
o Attends and participates in administrative and clinical staff meetings.
o Participates in the student training program, as well as, serve on facility, VISN, and national committees and workgroups.
o Work hours will be set hours and may include nights and weekends.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
