- Answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate department or personnel - Scheduling appointments and managing the office calendar - Checking out patients and providing them with all appropriate paperwork - Assisting with patient registration and insurance verification - Updating patient records and maintaining accurate electronic medical records - Providing general administrative support to the medical office staff
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is required - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus - Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
