Program Description Haven's Open Arms, LLC is a residential program located in Columbia County Florida, for abused and/or neglected adolescent girls and boys under the care of the Department of Children and Families.
Key Goals 1.
Provide caring, loving and compassionate environment 2.
Assist in managing their current problems/circumstances 3.
Provide support for them to thrive as individuals As a Live-In House Parent, responsible for providing a nurturing and stable environment for the youth.
They will assume all normal parental duties and responsibilities for youth and home, including, but not limited to:
providing 24 hour supervision for youth, cooking, some cleaning, maintaining all log books, completing monthly fire drills, completing incident reports for injuries, transporting to and from school and appointments, administration of medication and documentation, shopping, monitoring children throughout the night; assist the children in meeting the goals and objectives of their individual service plans, promote the physical and emotional well-being of the children, ensuring youth chores are completed, and other designated duties within reason.
Shifts We are building an on-call pool of PRN staff.
We are looking for employees that can fill-in as as-needed employees, when full time staff is not available.
This could be a 24-hour shift ($200 flat rate --- staff sleep at night) or a Night shift 8pm-8am.
Benefits to the Schedule We are creating a Home-Like environment for our youth; therefore house parents can sleep at night after the youth are asleep Youth are in school during the day most days; House Parents have down time after their work for the day is completed Houseparents participate in meal times with youth at the expense of the organization Requirements:
These employees shall be at least 21 years of age, and have at least an AA or AS degree in a Human Service related field and at least one year of clerical work experience plus at least one year of experience in working with youth; Or may have an AA or AS degree in an office management or business related field and one year experience working with at risk youth; and must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Communication, and the ability to work well with youth.
Must have valid driver's license.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
