, Public Defender, Third Circuit, has an awesome opportunity for you in our office in Live Oak, Florida.
The work of an Assistant Public Defender is essential to our criminal justice system and will give you the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of your clients, and their community, while gaining valuable trial experience.
We take a team approach to our cases, and we offer extensive entry-level training from experienced lawyers.
Our area offers a charming, small-town atmosphere with many outdoor activities available in our Circuit, including the Gulf of Mexico, rivers, springs, hiking, camping and a nationally known music park and campground.
While we offer a traffic jam free commute, we are also within an easy drive of several metropolitan areas, including Jacksonville, Gainesville, Valdosta, and Tallahassee.
A successful candidate should have good communication skills and be able to work well under pressure.
We are a small, selective office and we expect our personnel to be professional, courteous and friendly.
An applicant must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar or a recent law school graduate who is awaiting admission to the Bar.
A valid Driver's license is required.
Minimum starting salary for a Florida Bar member is $60,000.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
